Fit Studio

In late 2016 we were asked by Everlane to design a fitting studio in their San Francisco headquarters that could be used to test out new self-guided shopping experiences and retail concepts.

The project presented a great opportunity to experiment, and through iteration and observation we arrived at several innovative approaches to self-guided retail. Among these were modular dressing rooms that permitted entrance into one another, allowing shoppers to try on clothes with their companion, a large track display bench for trying on shoes and lounging, split into sections to allow for multiple arrangements, and a floorplan that prioritized a sense of community over maximum merchandising.

Designed in collaboration with Sina Sohrab.
